The 35kV series power transformer brings substantial improvements in materials, structure and workmanship: HV/LV clamps are tensioned by steel straps or top/side beams, forming a rigid frame that increases core clamping force and transport-shock tolerance. Strong short-circuit withstand, reliable operation, low loss and low noise reach the advanced level of comparable international products. The SZ13-20000/35 prototype passed the sudden short-circuit test of the National Transformer Quality Inspection Center in one go; longitudinal oil ducts in both windings greatly reduce the copper-oil temperature difference and winding hot-spot rise.
