Energy efficiency Class 1 oil-immersed power transformer, S20/S22 series, with capacities ranging from 50 to 10,000 kVA. Focused on energy-saving acceptance and grid expansion projects, it supports configuration for 35kV voltage level and high-temperature/high-humidity environments.
The S20 and S22 series of first-class oil-immersed power transformers are suitable for energy-saving grid acceptance requirements and new energy power-up projects: covering capacity ranges of 50–10,000 kVA and voltage levels of 10kV/35kV. They meet the national first-class energy efficiency standards in terms of no-load and load losses, making them the main upgrade alternative for distribution network renovation and photovoltaic power station power-up.
The value of energy efficiency improvement lies mainly in the loss structure: high-magnetic permeability silicon steel and a better magnetic density design further reduce no-load losses, which is most evident in distribution network nodes that are powered continuously for long periods and new energy stations with low load rates. It is recommended to follow a three-step approach for project total cost: estimate the average annual operating hours and average load rate based on the project load curve, calculate the annual loss electricity for S13 and S20/S22 separately, then convert the cost back period according to local electricity prices. Generally, the incremental cost is recovered in 3–5 years, after which there is net profit.
Key parameters and selection range are shown in the parameter table below. The capacity range and voltage level are based on material specifications. The bidding technical documents can be directly referenced.
For environments with long-term temperatures above 50°C, such as Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the product can enhance the heat dissipation circuit within the standard temperature rise margin: adding heat dissipation fins, installing detachable dust nets, and configuring dual-channel online monitoring for oil temperature and winding temperature. The insulation heat resistance level can be upgraded according to project specifications. When the altitude exceeds the normal range, re-verification is required based on capacity reduction calculations.
Compliance with GB 1094.1, GB/T 6451, and IEC 60076 standards; routine/type test reports are included with the product. The product has served more than 50 countries and regions' grids and new energy projects, supporting CE certification documents and multi-language nameplate export configurations.

Quality control spans the entire manufacturing process: rolled silicon steel is precisely cut on the slitting line, core assembly is inspected section by section according to process cards, the automatic winding machine completes the winding, then it enters the body assembly and vacuum impregnation (VPI) station. Routine tests are completed before shipment, and type tests and third-party verification can be arranged as needed—from material selection to traceable records of each process, all are provided with documents along with the product.
In terms of applicable scenarios, the first-class energy efficiency market includes three categories: replacement nodes for distribution network energy-saving renovation, the large no-load portion of long-term powered photovoltaic and wind power stations, and green park projects that include energy efficiency indicators in the bid documents. The series is compatible with S11/S13 installation locations; replacement does not require civil construction foundations, and evaluation materials (loss comparison and cost back period calculation) can be provided in advance.
Export delivery is a regular part of this product line: multi-language nameplates, CE and ISO system documents, and test report catalogs are prepared at three levels: bidding, review, and factory inspection. Packaging and transportation are designed in two options: full box or separate units. Island logistics and lifting conditions are included in the detailed drawings. The quality control foundation of national high-tech enterprises, national energy-saving product promotion enterprises, and qualified suppliers of State Grid/China Southern Power Grid also serves the overseas project review schedule.
Under the background of stricter energy-saving inspections and rising electricity prices, nodes that are powered on for long periods with low load rates are most sensitive to no-load losses, and the S13 existing models find it difficult to pass the new energy-efficiency review.
